As I’ve said before, Cory Booker Is just another 2020 democratic presidential candidate willing to say anything to get the nomination. This is not only the case for Booker, but for many democrats that are attempting to become the next POTUS. The fact is Cory’s not doing so hot in the polls already. He is actually trailing in eighth place behind mayor Pete Buttigieg and the second Indian to ever run for president Elizabeth Warren. Unfortunately for Booker he’s not a man of sensible problem solving (as all people on the left aren’t), so he needs in the words of a great journalist Josh Hammer, “a spark!”
A spark in leftist terms means, “say something totally delusional and pointless that is so utterly stupid it will somehow get you to the top of the polls?” I guess when you’re a leftist this makes sense, but whenever I try to thoroughly understand definitions like I lose brain chromosomes. The point is, this “stupidity tactic” isn’t going to work Mr. Booker. As a matter of fact, I don’t think it’s going to work with any of the candidates.
If you watch CNN, you might have watched the recent clip of Poppy Harlow interviewing Cory Booker on a segment about if “democrats should be defined by uniting Americans.” As the interview went from talking about a govermental “gun buyback” program the most cliffhanger part of the interview was the ending. Harlow continuously asked Booker if he would support jailing Americans if they did not turn in their weapons, but Bookers response was that of any lying dishonest democrat.
Harlow again pressed Booker.
“But would you prosecute people?” she asked. “Do you support the government buying them back and if not, potentially people could go to jail if they don’t want to sell them back? Yes or no?”
Booker would not answer the question.
“Again, we should have a law that bans these weapons and we should have a reasonable period in which people can turn in these weapons,” Booker answered. “Right now we have a nation that allows in streets and communities like mine these weapons that should not exist.”
Obviously Booker played off the fact that “he would jail Americans” that don’t comply with any future gun control acts he could make if elected, but he is no doubt anti-second amendment. When you claim “we should have a reasonable period in which people can turn in these weapons”, you are saying that there in fact will be a possibility that measures most likely will be taken for those that “do not” turn in their weapons. Without speculation, the American people should not place their trust in candidates that must constantly lie to cover up monstrously controversial subjects like extreme gun regulations.
