“this is an example of a giant, multinational media conglomeration … attempting to squash a competitor.”
This month, while prominent left leaning media outlets, news organizations, and the trifle 0.6% of the population that identify as LGBTQ celebrate “pride month”, I am celebrating something else. It’s called “proud month”, and it’s an everyday thing. Besides your attributes, we all as citizens in this country, are Americans. By first definition, none of us are oppressed, and none of us are more valuable than the next guy in line. So, when hard evidence is found that stipulates conservative media outlets and individuals are being censured and repressed from expressing their opinions and outlooks via the internet, what does that say about the direction our country may be heading?
Media Matters for America, is described as a “nonprofit organization”, with the mission of “comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.” The organization was founded in 2004 by a former conservative journalist David Brock, who started the organization after becoming a liberal progressive. The organization is best known for its extreme media war on Fox News and other conservative media like BreitBart. It is unknown how the organization stays afloat when considering it’s unpopularity, but in 2010 the Soros Foundation donated $1 million dollars to it’s budget. When asked why he donated such a large amount, Soros claimed he felt that “recent evidence suggesting that the incendiary rhetoric of Fox News hosts may incite violence.”
During a 2014 interview with CNN, Brock claimed that Soros’s donation was actually “less than 10 percent” of the entire Media Matters budget. It was later found that some of the remainder of contributors to the organization were actually funded themselves at some point by the Soros Foundation.
Since it’s founding, Media Matters has been aimed at destroying conservative hosts on multiple news and media networks due to the fact that they do not line up with the leftist narrative that they would like them too.
Jumping to “pride month” (June) 2019, YouTube started an investigation into the conservative comedian Steven Crowder the host of “Louder With Crowder” via the triggering of Vox Producer Carlos Maza. Maza, who is a gay contributing journalist and host at Vox Media, at some point became greatly offended by the way Crowder classified him with “homophobic” words in one of his videos. It is unknown who pressured YouTube first to begin the investigation, but since then the conservative comedian has been under attack by virtually every left leaning organization in America.
A majority of Crowders content on his channel surrounds making political comedy, in which he regularly makes jokes about people leaning both directions in politics. Four days after the start of the investigation, YouTube claimed that Crowders classification of Maza although targeting to his sexuality had not violated any of their policies. Thus the real war began.
Exactly a day later, YouTube revised it’s decision, saying that it had decided to suspend Crowder’s ability to run ads on and monetize his videos until he addressed all of the problems with his channel. Then possibly he might be able to return to his previous stance on the popular video site.
Overall, YouTube and many other far left organizations are in the aggravating process of attempting to demonize Steven Crowder, and to eventually possibly get him removed from being able to spread his conservative opinion and comedy with the remainder of uninformed America.
Crowder claims that this extreme censorship situation and investigation is a “war we will fight to the bitter end.” Again, feelings are not facts, though sticks and stones may break your bones, words possibly cruel is still free speech.
“The Onlookers Publication is one of few conservative news sites on the internet. Our goal is to preserve American traditional values as long as possible, and to provide Americans with the ammunition needed to win the fight for freedom.”
