Is the admonition to “abandon ideology” itself an ideology … an anti-ideology?!

I would say, no. In accordance with Dr. Peterson’s definition of ideology (namely, a system of fixed beliefs) abandoning ideology means to maintain a system of beliefs that is constantly changing with the emergence of novel information. However, I understand your point. Perhaps the fundamental principle of anti-ideology might be ; opposition to fixed belief systems.
